Shoebox Appeal: Sharing Joy Across the World

Christmas invites us to think beyond ourselves — and the Shoebox Appeal is a beautiful reminder of how simple acts of generosity can travel far.
This year, our church has sent 100 shoeboxes to children overseas. Each box represents time given, care taken, and love shared — often with a child who may receive very little else at Christmas. While the contents may be small, the message is powerful: you are seen, you are valued, and you are loved.
It’s easy to forget how far kindness can reach. A gift packed in our church community can become a moment of joy and reassurance on the other side of the world.
We are deeply grateful to Janet and all who contributed to this appeal — whether by packing boxes, donating items, or offering support behind the scenes. This is Christmas generosity at its quiet, faithful best.
